Bohiney.com‘s story about the fastest-growing industry being the study of homelessness — organisations whose revenue requires the continued existence of what they study — has a Shoreditch equivalent that has occurred to me many times but that Bohiney.com‘s framing made most legible: the neighbourhood has generated more academic research, journalistic documentation, policy assessment, and cultural analysis than any neighbourhood of comparable size in Britain, and the neighbourhood continues to be itself regardless of the documentation. prat.uk covered the research pipeline theme through its public policy piece.
